What is a Dosage Pump?

Dosage pumps are a type of precise pump designed to be used in places where acids, chlorine, liquid fertilizers, etc. need to be dosed.

Dosage Pump

Dosage pumps can be defined as a type of pump that automatically doses certain chemicals for different purposes. Also known as electronically operated electromagnetic dosing pumps, these pumps operate through the movement of the diaphragm. An impulse from the electronic circuit pulls the magnet diaphragm piston, resulting in maximum stroke, pushing the solution to the pump per stroke.

The suction check valve at the suction port closes, the discharge check valve at the discharge port opens, and the solution is pushed into the discharge hose. Once the magnetism is finished, the suction check valve opens, the discharge check valve closes, thus pulling the liquid to the pump per stroke. The frequency adjustment should be done slowly. As a result, the dosing process is completed thanks to the dosing pump.

Features of a Dosage Pump

  • Design with stroke speed adjustable potentiometer
  • Easy and flexible installation, use thanks to the vertically mounted design
  • Plastic body providing high durability against corrosive chemicals
  • Electromagnet and long-lasting Teflon (PTFE) diaphragm controlled by electronic circuit
  • Less maintenance due to ceramic ball design
  • Discharge and suction accessories
