What is a Butterfly Valve?
A butterfly valve is a versatile type of valve used for opening and closing, as well as flow regulation. Butterfly valves take up little space in the pipeline, provide excellent sealing in both directions, are easily and economically adaptable to automation, operate with low pressure losses, and are an economical type of valve. These features have made butterfly valves a preferred product in many systems since they were first designed in the 1960s. Today, butterfly valves are used in many fields such as fire extinguishing systems, water and wastewater systems, power stations, compressor lines, air conditioning plants, and treatment centers, and they come in two types: wafer and lug.
