In Residential Units with MIT Hot Water Entrance Stations, there is no need for boiler in installation room; instead, domestic hot water provided by heat exchangers at the residence entrance. The Apartment Entrance Stations consist of a compact heat exchanger that provides instant hot water and, a differential pressure control valve that ensures balanced distribution of water among the radiators and the exchanger.
Different control systems can be used in Residential Unit Hot Water Inlet Stations. Controls are made only with the help of differential pressure control elements or control valves, through which controlled by optionally programmable thermostats.

Residential Unit Hot Water Inlet Station System Advantages
MIT Residential Unit Hot Water Stations is of this advantage, that the domestic hot water not to be fetched from a central boiler. In fact there is no need to have boilers & pumps in our hot water re-circulation line, which saves boiler and pump costs, and allows us for some other alterations.
Advantages of Unit Hot Water Entrance Stations
- Any fuel type or similar combination could be used by this central systems.
- It is sufficient to install only three pipelines: hot water, return and cold water line.
- It eliminates the risk of legionella growth, since water is not stored and just fetched when needed.
- Thanks to the thermostatic mixing valve, hot water is maintained at the set value.
- Overheating in the heat exchanger is prevented, thanks to the thermostatic valve.
- There is no risk of electrical shortage and/or gas leakage.
- Room temperature can be controlled independently.
- No maintenance is required, therefore service cost is low.
- Fair billing between the units ensured, thanks to the calorimeter integrated into the system.
- The risk of limescale and bacteria formation minimized.
- Specially designed and produced to suit the requirements.
Saving Elements During Investment
- Boiler and its meters
- Some more exchanger
- >> Since heating and domestic hot water are fed from the same line,
- Plumbing pipes, circulation pumps and ball valves
- >> Since they are located within the unit, balance valves and strainers not required.
- No need for a chimney
Parts That Make Up the Station
Heat Exchanger
The heat exchanger located in the Heating Station enables to heat the hot water coming from the central boiler room, the main water flow and obtain domestic hot water.
Plate Heat Exchangers are devices that work on the principle of heat transfer between two different fluids with a temperature difference. The fluid to be heated and the heating fluid are completely separated from each other by plates.
In residential units’ entrance hot water station, the plate heat exchangers are the main equipment in hot water-fetching process.
Thermostatic Mixing Valve
It ensures that the hot domestic water obtained by heating the cold water coming from the main line in the exchanger & goes to the taps at a stable temperature. In addition, since the temperature value can be adjusted at the desired value, the temperature of the water reaching the taps can be kept at a level that dose not harm human skin.
In addition, in underfloor heating systems, since the hot water coming from the central boiler room not required to go directly to the underfloor heating line, therefore the temperature is fixed at the desired value with the help of thermostatic mixing valve.
Calorimeter
By calculating the thermal loss of the hot water coming from the central boiler room in flat and the heat exchanger, the fuel consumption cost of each & every flat determined; thanks to the M-BUS system, makes it possible to monitor, invoice and even limit the usage by a centeralized system.
Room thermostat
Motorized valve inside the station & the room thermostat, control room temprature to be as comfortable as possible. With room thermostat control, the flow rate of hot water coming from the central boiler room adjusted proportionally, providing extra savings and ease of use in an economical condition.
Differential Pressure (AP) Control Valve
It is used to control the differential pressure in the radiator line. One of its functions is to direct the heating water to the heat exchanger by creating an extra pressure in the radiator, compared to the heat exchanger line, when there is any consumption required. Thanks to AP-controlled valve, provides parallel operation in both radiator and heat exchanger circuit. Additionally, the entire system is balanced and pressure differences between units prevented.
Cold Water Meter
It calculates the usage amount of entering water to the network before directed to the taps and heat exchanger, and no need for extra space in the installation. Space savings achieved and the compact structure of the heat station preserved. The consumed amount read on the meter, or could be read or billed remotely via the M-BUS system.
Collector Pack
Hot water coming from the central boiler room separated by the flow and return to collector to have equal pressure in all radiators in residential unit, before being directed to the heating line. Including collector pack within the heat station provides an advantage, in terms of orderly enough space in residential unit installation.
