Electric Actuator
Electric Actuators use an electric motor to open and close the valve. The drive force obtained by the electric motor ensures the circular movement of the gears within the body. Since the gear system is used, a constant torque rotation is provided from the beginning to the end of the opening/closing process. Electric actuators, which can be used with many different valves such as butterfly and ball valves, perform the valve open-close operation slower than pneumatic and hydraulic actuators due to the gear systems inside them.
Advantages of Electric Actuators
- Electricity is available everywhere
- Long life of the products
- Precise control possibility
- Wide operating voltage range
- Wide maximum rotation angle tolerance
- Quiet operation

Pneumatic Actuator
Pneumatic Actuators are actuators operated by compressed air. Pneumatic actuators are preferred in most applications due to their light and durable structure. Their advantages are that they are cost-effective and reliable, can be used in explosive environments, and can be used as an emergency closing actuator (fail-safe).
Single-acting pneumatic actuator is produced as a model that opens/closes with spring force. In this way, the actuator is in the open or closed position unless it is operated. When these actuators are operated, they become closed if they are open and open if they are closed. It is the spring inside that allows it to return to its original state.
Since pneumatic actuators work with a compressor, the installation cost is slightly higher, but since they use air as raw material, the operating cost is low. They are noisier than electric actuators.
