Drum Pumps
Drum pumps have long pipes designed to transfer fluids from closed containers. The transfer process is carried out by immersing the pipe inside the closed fluid container. The discharge process begins with the rotation of the fan at the end of the pipe inside the barrel, as a result of engine drive. These closed containers may contain materials, such as; acidic, basic, corrosive, aggressive, alkaline, flammable and combustible fluids, as well as liquid soap, honey, chocolate, molasses, cream, jelly, paste, glue, jam, shampoo, paint, etc.
Most of these fluids taken out of the barrels, containers, drums, IBC tanks and or other containers, which to be stored in areas for other purposes & applications. Since these fluids are generally used as additives, the entire barrel is not consumed at once. Even if it is consumed, this is usually done by tipping the barrel. This practice is both dangerous to workers’ health and inefficient due to product waste and pollution. Using a drum pump in such transfers eliminates all these negativities. Accordingly, drum pumps fall into two different cataegoris; as electric & air powered.
At the same time, upon the transferring chemical properties, some drum pumps body are out of SS316, Polypropylene, PVDF and Aluminum.
Drum pumps also have FDA (Food and Drug Administration) certificates, which applied in food and pharmaceutical industries.
