What are Accumulation Tanks?

Accumulation tanks are plumbing equipment that heats and stores water with the energy it receives from heat sources.

Accumulation tanks heat the water coming from sources such as heat exchangers, solar energy, heat pumps, and fuel boilers through heat source utilization. Especially in areas where boilers are insufficient, effective solutions are produced by using accumulation tanks together with heat exchangers. Accumulation tank systems with heat exchangers are commonly used in hotels and newly constructed communal living spaces to harness solar energy. Accumulation tanks prevent temperature fluctuations in the use of water.

The most important feature that distinguishes accumulation tanks from boilers is the absence of a coil inside and the use of an external heating source. Boilers have coils that serve as water heaters. Since accumulation tanks do not have coils, they are made more hygienic and corrosion-resistant by enamel coating.

One of the constant steps MIT takes for the continuous development of the sector is MIT Accumulation Tanks and MIT Boilers. We offer packaged solutions for heat exchangers and all systems integrated with them. With our accumulation tanks, all of which are produced in Turkey, we establish long-lasting systems in many projects and provide hygienic domestic hot water.
