Steam separators are devices that remove water droplets and particles carried within the steam using a vortex effect, ensuring clean and dry steam is delivered to the system. Our high-efficiency separators, designed in two types — horizontal and vertical — are manufactured from carbon steel or stainless steel, with flanged, threaded, or butt-welded connections.
MIT Steam Separators:
- Prevent water hammer formation, protecting the system from damage.
- Provide protection to steam installations thanks to high efficiency, minimizing maintenance, repair, and downtime costs.
- Ensure the efficient operation and extended lifespan of measurement and control devices.
- Require no maintenance or repair due to their robust construction.
- Steam separators can be manufactured in PN16, PN25, and PN40 pressure classes.
Where Are Steam Separators Used?
Steam separators can be used anywhere clean and dry steam is required. Examples include factories, food processing plants, at the inlet of steam turbines, heating coils and dryers, at the outlet line of steam boilers, and upstream of control devices (such as control valves and steam meters).
