Fan oil coolers do not require the use of an additional fluid other than air and oil, they use air as a fluid. In terms of area, they occupy quite less space compared to other heat exchangers. Since they are less costly than other piping equipment, the cost of heat transfer is also lower. In places where fan oil coolers are not suitable, gasketed plate heat exchangers, brazed plate heat exchangers, and shell-and-tube heat exchangers are used.
